Every nephrology patient with a few years of history meant the same routine: open multiple lab PDFs, find the creatinine and cystatin C values, look up urine volumes and body measurements, type everything into a spreadsheet, run the formulas. For one patient, this could take 30 to 45 minutes. Multiply that across three clinics and hundreds of CKD patients and you start losing entire days to data entry. The metabolic urine profile was worse: 15+ markers per collection, each needing unit conversions and reference range lookups. It was accurate work, but it was slow, repetitive, and it pulled clinicians away from the work they actually trained for.
